Fantastic food in a beautiful, quirky setting. It's dog friendly too with the Wirral Way on the doorstep. Recommend 100%

In general this place is lovely. Really tasty food, especially the chai coffees. Food is usually reasonably priced, tables outside, in the under cover courtyard and inside. I love coming here when I do my long walks, its a great place to stop off. The downsides: - The child's portion. It was £7 and it was less than a handful of chips, a single sausage and a thimble of beans. The quality was poor too. This is pretty disappointing, especially considering the quality of the rest of the food. - The tip screen when ordering food. Its optional, I get it. But when you have 2-3 staff members watching what youre going to select its pretty invasive. A tip should be after for good service/food, not before the order is even taken. I have no problem tipping, but it shouldn't be pressured on customers.

Stopped at the takeaway hatch walking The Wirral Way. I had a coffee and banana loaf both really nice. Great service, the lady who served me was really friendly and helpful when I asked about milk free things. My only complaint is being charged 50p more for soya milk which is quite a lot on top of the price of the coffee. Great little place to stop especially on a sunny day I could have stayed for hours

The Station Master’s House in Wirral is an absolute gem, radiating charm and warmth from the moment you step inside. Nestled in a beautifully restored historic building, this delightful café offers a perfect blend of cozy ambiance and exceptional cuisine. The staff are incredibly welcoming, greeting every guest with genuine smiles and attentive service, making you feel right at home. The star of the show is undoubtedly the poached eggs on sourdough toast—a dish that elevates breakfast to an art form. The eggs are perfectly cooked, with golden, runny yolks that burst with flavor, perched atop thick, crusty sourdough that’s toasted to perfection. Each bite offers a delightful balance of textures, from the creamy yolk to the satisfying crunch of the bread. Paired with fresh, high-quality ingredients, it’s a simple yet unforgettable dish that showcases the café’s commitment to excellence. The atmosphere is equally inviting, with tasteful décor and a relaxed vibe, ideal for a leisurely brunch or catching up with friends. The Station Master’s House is a must-visit for anyone craving a heartwarming dining experience. Their poached eggs on sourdough alone are worth the trip—pure breakfast bliss! Highly recommended for a memorable meal.
